With the debute of the Host Senior Men Country team, the first day of the second week Championships in Asiago and Roana has come to the end.

ASIAGO
A very good match started the afternoon competitions: the Colombian Men team has been defeated by Sweden 9-3 but they hardly pushed as they can. A quite easy victory followed, with the Canadians ruling all the match against Germany and closing it with a 11-2 score. The USA team was not able to overwhelm a fierce Spain and the match ended with a tie: 3-3. Another tie for the last match in Asiago: the Home Country failed to open the Latvian defence and suffered in the counterattack, closing with a 3-3.

ROANA

The first day of the Women Junior World Championship carried on at Roana PalaRobaan.

The opening match has been played between Mexico and Chinese Taipei. Taipei girls gained the final victory with the final score of 5-2.

Italy lost the match against Spain with a score of 4-1. Italian team kept up the game until the end of the first period. In the second half, Italy paid weariness and Spain raised up to the final score.

Canada overcame Finland in a very balanced game. The Canadian girls won the match with a single-goal margin, catching up the initial advantage of the Finnish team with the decisive net scored by Canadian player Hardy.

Chinese Taipei won the last match of the day against Great Britain. Asians team has been the very first surprise of the championship. First half ended with a 1-1 draw. In the second period, Chinese Taipei gained the victory with three goals, showing up very good skills. The last British goal closed the final score to 4-2.
