In the heart of Reggio Emilia, Italy, the PalaBigi set the stage for the 2025 World Cup Final, marking the conclusion of the Artistic International Series from June 7-15th.

The event began with the much anticipated Last Chance qualifiers, giving athletes one final opportunity to secure their place in the prestigious World Cup Final. The intensity was unmistakable, as skaters poured everything into their performances in a bid to join the starting lineup for the ultimate competition.

A total of 419 athletes from all five World Skate continents participated in the World Cup Final, delivering a breathtaking display of skill and determination. Spanning categories from Cadet to Senior, each skater competed for the ultimate title: 2025 World Cup Final Champion.

Beyond the medals and scores, each athlete brought a unique story, contributing to this unforgettable chapter in the world of artistic skating.

Among the many standout moments:

The Cadet and Youth events were a thrilling preview of tomorrow’s World Champions in the making. The passion and dedication these young athletes bring to the sport is absolutely unstoppable. In Cadet Pairs, Italy’s Carmine Giannattasio and Federica Ciampi were impressive with a confident, gold-winning performance in this dynamic and important discipline.

Madalena Costa of Portugal is more than the 2025 Junior Ladies Free Skating World Cup Final Champion. She’s a global sensation known for her record-breaking scores and exceptional technical skill. This season, she has also focused on refining her artistry, and the results are evident with 255.98 points. Currently, Costa holds the top spot in the World Skate Rankings.

Quinty Van Lare is making history for the Netherlands. She earned Gold in Junior Ladies Solo Dance and added a Bronze in Junior Ladies Free Skating, marking a significant milestone for Dutch skating.

Spain has once again proven its strength, capturing gold across the board in Cadet, Junior, and Senior Mens Free Skating. The nation continues to solidify its reputation as a powerhouse as evidence by the podium sweep in Senior Mens Free Skating.

In the Junior and Senior Solo Dance events, the Americas unleashed a commanding presence in the medal hunt. Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Paraguay saw their flags soar above the podium, declaring these countries forces to be reckoned with on the world stage. Brayan Carreño of Colombia, the 2022 World Champion, delivered a spectacular gold medal performance in the Senior Men’s Solo Dance, clearly signaling his intention to reclaim his World Title.

Roberta Sasso of Italy is an undeniable superstar of the 2025 AIS and World Cup Final, dazzling the world with her extraordinary talent. She stormed through both Semifinals to seize gold. But she was not finished. Sasso crowned her triumph by capturing the World Cup Final Senior Ladies Solo Dance title in a breathtaking display of artistry and power with 158.48 points. Teaming up with Gherardo Altieri in Senior Couples Dance, their exquisite performances continue to shatter expectations and secured yet another gleaming gold while earning 164.20 points.

Senior medalists not only stood atop the podium with national pride but also shared in a $36,000 prize purse. These awards recognized not just their athletic excellence, but also the dedication and artistry that define the sport.


The Best Skaters Show was a spectacular finale to an already amazing experience. This event broadened the appeal of artistic skating, captivating both the enthusiastic audience and a distinguished panel of judges, all of whom came from outside the sport. It was a great moment to see the skaters bring their competitive edge into a more relaxed, performance-driven atmosphere, showcasing their talent with both grace and ease. Guillermo Gomez of Spain, who also claimed gold in Junior Men’s Free Skating, was crowned the winner of the Best Skaters Show, bringing the World Cup Final to a thrilling close.

The World Cup Final radiated brilliance, as skaters from 26 nations continued to push the boundaries in pursuit of that perfect blend between elite athleticism and captivating artistry. The coaches were ready, the officials were ready…and most importantly the skaters were ready.

“The 2025 World Cup Final was a great success and a key moment for artistic skating,” said Nicola Genchi, Chair of the World Skate Artistic Technical Committee. “It reflects the dedication of those who helped shape the Artistic International Series. I’m proud of our progress and excited for the sport’s continued global growth.”

With the curtain falling on the 2025 Artistic International Series, Junior and Senior skaters now return to their homelands.The road ahead is paved with endless hours of practice, artistic exploration, and the pursuit of technical perfection. All paths lead to one place: Beijing, China. This October, the world will gather to witness the 2025 Artistic World Championship.
