Playing at home in front of a sold-out Aldo Cantoni, Argentina was crowned tonight as World Champion, after defeating Italy in the final, by 4-1 (1-1 at half-time). A victory that drove the crowd at the rink hockey mecca into a frenzy. After finishing as runners-up in 2019, three years later, the Argentines did not let the title slip away, which they failed to win, in Barcelona, against Spain. It's the second time for a World title in this category, last was in Malargue 17 year ago (2005). A special mention to the Squadra Azzurra (fourth place in the WSG2019), who fought bravely through the competition, accomplishing an historic achievement of being in the final of a world championship for the first time and reaching the first silver in 10 editions. Argentina had a fantastic week, winning every game all the way to the final. And tonight's game was no exception. Juan Manuel Garces team started winning, with a goal scored by the team’s captain Giuliano Giuliani at minute 21. Liam Bozzetto tied for Italy at minute 18. For the rest of the time, the teams continued studying each other, trying to breach each other’s defences and find their way into the goal. But that didn't happen, and the first half ended with a tie. After the break, Argentina displayed more drive and a stronger will to win. Joaquin Olmos ended up scoring the second and third goals for the host team and widened the gap in the scoreboard. Lucas Bridge sealed Argentina's victory, 11 minutes before the end.

4th and 3rd Places
Looking for the third place in the championship, Spain ended up being stronger than Portugal and won 7-5 (1-1 at half-time) the current European champions, in what was a frantic game, played until the very end. The game first moments were well-balanced, with opportunities for both teams, forcing their goalkeepers to shine. Tiago Sanches scored the first goal of the game for Portugal in the rebound of a direct shot, after a first save by Nil Viñas. Minutes of great intensity followed, with Spain reaching the tie, through Guillem Jansá, result with which the teams went to breaktime. In the second half, the game continued to be frantic and exciting, with both teams constantly attacking and counterattacking. Spain scored first, at minute 18, with an individual move by Biel Autet and, two minutes later, Viti restored the tie for Portugal. The same player scored the Portuguese third goal and undid the tie. The Spanish team kept believing and quickly tied the score again, in a collective move finished by Sebastiá Moncusi, five and a half minutes before the end. But the Portuguese scored just five seconds later, with a powerful strike from Miguel Henriques (3-4). However, the story of the game was not over yet: at 22, Spain tied again, which pushed the game to extra time. Spain started the last 10 minutes with the right roller skate: with only 25 seconds on the clock, Bruno Saavedra scored the fifth for Sapin and Jan Curtiellas the sixth near the end of the first five minutes. In the second period, Diogo Pernas scored the fifth goal for the Portuguese, but Bruno Saavedra closed the score with the seventh for Spain, securing the third place in the competition. Portugal has always won a medal in the 10 editions of the world tournament, while for Spain it is the first bronze in history after winning either a gold or a bronze in the last 17 years

5th and 6th Places
Chile reached the fifth position in the competition by beating Switzerland 3-5 (2-3 at half-time). Switzerland started winning, scoring two goals, but Chile, at minute 13, also scored two goals in 30 seconds, and one more at minute 7, going into the breaktime winning 2-3. Switzerland re-established the tie beginning the second half and, until the end of the match, no one scored, forcing the teams into the extra time. Here, Chile was more effective and scored the two goals that gave it the 5th place and Switzerland, the 6th.

7th and 8th Places
The game for the 7th place was decided between Great Britain and Colombia with the first ones winning 5-3 (3-0 at half-time), in a match without great surprises or emotions, with the British thus conquering the 7th place. Great Britain always sought to create more danger situations for the Colombians, which resulted in three goals at half-time. In the second half, the Colombians started more focused, but even so, it was not enough to win the team coached by Carlos Amaral, taking home the 8th place in the World Championship.

9th and 10th Places
The USA won the second leg of the match against Mexico, with a new 7-20 rout (1-9 at half-time), thus conquering the 9th place in the championship and Mexico the 10th. Again, note for the Comeglio brothers, who scored 16 of the 20 goals.
