Portugal-Spain is the Final of the World Championship in Iquique

The 13th Women's World Championship reached its last day: the day of the Finals. And the Final for the gold medal and the title of Word Champion will be between Portugal and Spain. The last match of Iquique 2016 is scheduled for Saturday night, October 1st, starting from 8.00 PM Chile Local Time.
These are the virdicts of the semifinals played on friday where both of the finalists of the previous edition of the world championship lost.




Portugal got a large victory against France (5-0), replaying the one obtained in the group stage. The semifinal between Spain and Argentina, on the contrary, was so balanced to require the overtime and the golden goal to set the winner. The defending champion scored first and kept the 1-0 advantage for a long time. Spain tied the game only in the last minutes of the 2nd half and qualified to the final thanks to the golden goal scored by Natasha Lee during the 2nd part of the overtime.
Portugal and Spain will play at 8.00 PM, while the game for the bronze medal between France and Argentina will start at 6.30 PM. Colombia and Chile will play for the 5th at 5.00 PM, while Italy and Germany will play for 7th at 3.30 PM.
