The world's best scootering and roller freestyle riders are heading to Japan this month for the World Skate Scootering and Roller Freestyle World Championships, taking place from November 21–27, 2025, at Sakai Urban Sports Park in Sakai, Ibaraki, Japan. Nearly 270 riders from 34 countries will compete across multiple divisions for the ultimate honor: to be crowned World Champion.

ROLLER FREESTYLE: 90 Athletes, 21 Countries, six World Titles

The Roller Freestyle World Championships bring 90 athletes from 21 countries competing in Senior Men's Park and Women's Park,  Senior and Junior Men's Street and Women's Street divisions. This discipline promises explosive action as the world's best aggressive skaters battle for supremacy.

All eyes will be on France's Julien Cudot, the reigning double World Champion in both Park and Street, as he fights to maintain his titles against a hungry field of challengers. In Men's Street, Brazil's Danilo Senna, the vice world champion, is a serious threat, alongside Latvia's Nils Jansons, the European champion who brings technical mastery and consistency.

Team Brazil will be a force to watch, led by the dynamic Ana Julia da Silva competing in both Park and Street. Her versatility and fearless approach make her one of the most exciting athletes in the women's field. Meanwhile, Team Japan, captained by the experienced Takeshi Yasutoko, will be looking to deliver standout performances on home soil, riding the energy of their home crowd.

The junior divisions are where the future of the sport truly shines. The Korean rising stars—featuring Jay Yoon, DJ, Seoa, and Junseung—brought completely fresh energy last year and became instant favorites. They represent the new confident wave in juniors, and their style and presence are captivating audiences worldwide.

The Brazilian crew has one of the most inspiring stories in the sport: from learning flips in foam pits and practicing big tricks in community setups to stepping onto the world stage performing moves that were rarely seen at junior level. Their journey has humor, courage, and heart—a testament to dedication and passion.

Don't miss the UK's Joe Atkinson, whose energy and charisma on skates make him one of the most entertaining personalities in the competition. His presence alone guarantees unforgettable moments.

THE VENUE: Sakai Urban Sports Park

Sakai Urban Sports Park provides the perfect stage for this elite competition. The venue is uniquely designed with three distinct sections that highlight the full range of modern freestyle scootering and roller freestyle.

The Senior Park course is the same layout used for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic BMX Freestyle competition, offering massive transitions, large quarters, and lines built for big air and technical combinations. The Junior Park section, located in the outdoor area of the facility, provides a purpose-built space tailored for younger riders, encouraging progression while maintaining professional-level design and flow. Completing the setup is the Street section, a world-class plaza filled with rails, ledges, and banks—the ultimate playground for technical precision and creative riding.

Japan's continued investment in urban sports, bolstered by World Skate's long-term commitment to the region, sets the stage for a week of progression, style, and world-class performance.

A WEEK TO REMEMBER

From November 21 to 27, the world's focus will be on Sakai as champions defend, newcomers rise, and nearly 290 riders battle for world titles across two disciplines. With international pride, innovation, and passion driving every run, the 2025 World Skate Scootering and Roller Freestyle World Championships promise to be a defining moment for action sports and one of the most exciting contests of the year.
