The teams and rounds that will compete in the World Inline Hockey Championship, which will take place from 29 August to 22 September in Roccaraso, have been made official.

Junior Women's category: The 12 participating teams have been placed in 4 groups of three teams in alphabetical order (serpentine method). At the end of the Round Robin, the top two teams in each group advance to the Play Offs by playing in the quarterfinals. The four teams ranked in the third position form a new group to compete for positions from 9 to 12.

Junior Men's category: This category consists of 21 national teams, divided into 4 groups. In Group A and B, the top 8 teams from the last World Championship are seeded according to the serpentine method. The remaining teams have been drawn into Group C and D.

Teams in Group A and B will participate in a standard Round Robin.

Based on the draw, Teams in Group C and D will each play two pre-scheduled games, as specified in the following table.

This year, we're introducing a new playoff format that starts from the round of 16. All teams in Group C and D will each play two pre-scheduled games. After these games, the teams that rank in the top 4 positions from each group will advance to join the teams from Group A and B in the round of 16. The remaining teams will form a new group and compete for the other positions.

Senior Women's category: This category features 21 national teams. The top 8 teams based on the last World Championship result are divided into Groups A and B using the serpentine method. The remaining teams have been drawn into 4 groups (C, D, E, F) of 4 and 3 teams.

Teams in Group A and B that finish in the top 3 positions at the end of the round robin will qualify for the playoffs.

The winners of Group C will play against the winner of Group D, and the winner of Group E will play against the winner of Group F. The two winners will then compete against the 4th placed teams of Group A and B for a spot in the playoffs starting from Quarte Finals. The other teams will form two new groups and will compete for the remaining positions.

Senior Men’s category: This category includes 24 national teams. The top 8 teams according to the last World Championship are seeded using a multiple year ranking system. The remaining teams are divided into 2 groups (C, D) where the top 2 teams in each group are ranked from 9 to 12. The remaining teams have been drawn into these groups.

Just like in the Junior Men’s competition, Teams in Group A and B will participate in a standard Round Robin.  Based on the draw, Teams in Group C and D will each play two pre-scheduled games, as specified in the following table.

Following these matches, the teams that rank in the top 4 positions in each group will move forward to join the teams from Group A and B in the round of 16. Those teams that fail to secure a position in the quarterfinals will participate in the competition for the President’s Cup. The 8 remaining teams will form two new groups and will compete for the remaining positions.
