The first week of World Roller Games of rink hockey enters into the crucial days. Today the quarterfinals were played in Longjing and Tech University and the semifinals of tomorrow got set. Great games with few surprises today, when all the favourite teams won and qualified.
FEMALE SENIOR
The most waited game was Spain-Portugal, the remake of the Final of Iquique 2016. And, as it was then, Spain won again, this time with a larger score. Spain-Portugal has been an amazing game where female rink hockey has been played at its highest level. The defending champion reiterates its leadership, forcing Portugal to play for the 5th place. Spain will play its semifinal against Chile. "Las Marchanitas" won clearly against France taking revenge for the game in Iquique when the result was o the opposite.
The second semifinal will be Argentina-Germany. "Las Aguilas" had no problems against United States in a one-way game. On the contrary, the victory of Germany over Italy was quite difficult after a balanced game.
UNDER 20 MALE
The semifinals in U20 world championship are something "classic": Spain-Italy and Portugal-Argentina. No surprises in the quarterfinals: Spain got a large victory over England and Italy won 5-0 over Colombia thanks to a great 2nd half. Spain and Italy will play against two days after their match in group A (won 4-1 by Italy).
The most difficult victory has been the one of Portugal over France, due to an unachieved come back of the French team that recovered from 5-1 to 5-4 before surrender. Even the south American "clasico" between Argentina and Chile has been an amazing match in which Argentina demonstrated all its strength.
