Argentina never stops dreaming and conquering the highest peaks of World Rink Hockey. In Montreux for the Nations Cup 2024 they completed the clear path of five victories out of five matches played, lifting the trophy for the fourth time (1989, 1993, 2017, 2024). Jose Luis Paez's team demonstrated an offensive and defensive superiority that the other seven teams failed to show.

After the bath of emotions in San Juan 2022, that they are still in pole position for the World Skate Games 2024 in September in Novara. The final was won by the "albiceleste" 5-2, in front of 1500 people at the Salle Omnisport de Pierrier: Second-placed Portugal took a 0-1 lead through Nunes but the Argentinians found speed and solidity in the rest of the match and halfway through the final.

They were already leading 3-1, completing the final score of 5-2. The goals were scored by Ordonez (2 goals), Rampulla (1 goal), Navarro (1 goal), Bridge (1 goal). France conquered third place, as already happened at San Juan 2022, winning on penalties against Italy 7-6. The French won the prize for best goalkeeper (Chambell), best scorer and best player (Roberto Di Benedetto) and best young player (Marc Rouze). Fifth place was achieved by Spain with a 5-4 win over sixth-placed Angola, while Switzerland won against Montreux 6-3, finishing seventh and eighth respectively.

With this tournament the countdown to the World Skate Games 2024 in Novara has begun. Seeing the technical rate of Rink Hockey this Holy Week in Montreux, the expectations are very high because, if Argentina has confirmed as a group and quality suitable for repeating itself, the other competitors will still have to work harder to recover the gap seen in these days. What is preparing to live in the WSG 2024 will be  quite possibly one of the most interesting and balanced Rink Hockey events in recent years.
