It is with great regret that we must inform you of the postponement of the upcoming Havana stage of the World Skate Marathon Tour, originally scheduled to take place in Cuba on November 10th.
Based on the information from the Forecast Center of the Cuban Meteorological Institute, the low pressure system in the Caribbean Sea has been converted into a tropical depression. During its outbreak, it will gain intensity and it is expected in the next hours to become a tropical storm, which may subsequently raise the category of hurricane. As a consequence, the Civil Defense authority decided to establish the Cyclone Alert phase starting at 3:00 p.m. this Monday, November 4, for six provinces including Havana.
The safety and well-being of all participants, supporters, and organizers remain our top priority. While we are disappointed to delay this exciting event, we believe it is the best course of action given the current conditions and the unpredictable weather in the area.
