The 27-year-old athlete from Siena, Italy, has earned this significant nomination following his extraordinary achievements, which include three gold medals at The World Games 2022 and multiple world titles in 2023 and 2024.

At the recent World Championships in Italy during the World Skate Games 2024, Marsili dominated the track events with an impressive medal haul:

This outstanding performance, securing three gold medals and one bronze medal all in track events, further cements Marsili's position as one of the sport's elite athletes. Representing S.S. Dilettantistica S. Mens Sana in Corpore Sano 1871, he has demonstrated exceptional versatility throughout his career in various speed skating disciplines.

The World Games has opened public voting for the Athlete of the Year award, where fans can support their favorite athletes. The voting system allows participants to cast two votes: two points for their first choice and one point for their second choice. Voting remains open until January 31st.

This nomination recognizes not only Marsili's recent achievements but also his consistent excellence in the sport of inline speed skating, where he has been collecting medals at World and European championships since his junior years.
