Expanded World Skate Development Scholarships Announcement

World Skate are once again delighted to announce three new parallel skateboarding initiatives leading on from the recent launch of our 2025-2028 Development Strategy.

As you might well already be aware, we began identifying both skateboarders and coaches who could benefit from support during the last Olympic cycle courtesy of two Olympic Solidarity-backed schemes known as the YAD* and WISH** programmes respectively.

Appplications are now open for the new Olympic cycle- and our mega news is that both are now being rolled into an expanded, over-arching Development Scholarship Programme which will take in not only athletes and coaches but judges also, going forward to LA 2028.

While preference will be given to applicants coming from Universality eligible NOC’s (see list below), consideration will also be given to those applicants coming from countries and continents generally under-represented in the Olympic skateboarding domain.
