WRG2017 Artistic: Double Gold for Italy

The 2017 World Roller Games continue in Nanjing, China, with compulsory and style dance
for Junior and Senior Couples and the best groups in Junior Long programs.




Junior Couples opened dances with Dench Blues and Spanish Medley in style. At the end of the
day Portugal’s José Cruz/Daniela Dias leads, second and third place for Italy’s Daniele Da
Col/Chiara Martinotti, Luca Rossetti/Alessia Orsi.
In Senior the battle for the podium is in fierce, a new Italian Couple Daniel Morandin/Anna
Remondini debuts today in the international scene and takes the lead followed by the other
Italians Andrea Bassi/Silvia Stibilj in second and Portugal’s Josè Souto/Mariana Souto in third.
Great suspence for Junior finals with the long program. Rebecca Tarlazzi, that we already
know because she won 5 world title in pairs, partecipated for her first time in freeskating
event and she won the gold medal performing to “Love Story”; silver for Micol Zangoli who
skated a very good program today on “Malaguena” music; bronze for Nadia Iglesias De
Salvador who pulled up from fourth to third place with a very memorable performance
particularly for her spins.
The Junior men long program competition was very strange because emotions overcame.
Italy’s Alessandro Liberatore was the only skater who made a flawless execution and he won
the gold medal, Argentina’s Edgar Waterbor pulled up and took the silver, bronze for Italy’s
Vincenzo Sarnataro who dropped from first place to third bacause of a disappoing program.
Tomorrow competitions continue with couple in the free dance and Senior freeskating long
program.
