This event showed the improvement of skater from India, Japan, China, Japan, Hong Kong which is very nice to see as they improving in all disciplines of artistic.
A wonderful show was put on at the opening ceremony which was attended by many government people from China and also members of the IOC.
All who took part in the show and the Grand Prix should be congratulated.
Junior ladies
Won by dong zhi duo from china, with Chen yu-hsuan from Taipei, with trace king from Australia.
Junior men
Won by Yang Szu-Chun from Taipei, with Qiao Ding Ding from China 2nd and Wang Li Min 3rd.
Junior pairs
Unfortunately only one pair competed from Taipei Tung Wen – Jen / Wu Feng-Chi.
Senior men
A very exciting contest of a high standard won by Andrea Aracu from Italy, with Pierluca Tocco from Italy 2nd, and Shingo Nishiki from Japan 3rd. Raphael Egli from Switzerland just missing that 3rd place and finished 4th.
Senior ladies
Won by Deborah Sbei from Italy who was along way in front of the other skaters, Annalisa Graziosi was 2nd and Lucija Mlinaric from Slovenia 3rd , Kylee Berger from USA 4th and Rieko Iwakata from Japan 5th.
Senior pairs
Another exciting event with Sara Venerucci / Danilo Decembrini winning after placing 3rd in the short programme missing a lift in their short.
2nd was Enrico Fabbri / Laura Marzocchini after winning the short programme with an excellent performance, but could not repeat this in the long programme.
3rd was Hannes Muschol / Christiane Reich who excelled themselves in the short by finishing 2nd, but made several mistakes in the long programme. However an overall excellent performance from the german team.
Senior Dance
Won in both sections by Melissa De Candido / Mirko Pontello, as usual an excellent performance from these two Italian skaters.
2nd was Elena Leoni / Filippo Forni from Italy and Lu Ting / Deng Lei from China in 3rd place.
