The 67th Artistic Skating World Championships continues to thrill the city of Ibagué, Colombia with nearly 800 skaters from six continents competing for titles, pride and points for the World Skate Rankings.

The spectacular and colorful Opening Ceremonies Friday evening filled the Coliseo Mayor to the rafters.  Featuring the wonderful music of the region with all the skaters and flags present, it was a sight to behold with more than 8000 enthusiastic spectators.

After five days of competition the global spread of artistic skating is apparent.  All the skaters are competing at much higher levels of Technical Elements, along with emerging and beautiful Components.  With the Rollart scoring system now in its fifth year of use around the world, along with the continued and constant education being offered by the World Skate Artistic Technical Committee, artistic skating continues its rise to the top as a sport that cannot to be missed. These cohesive efforts are making a massive impact as the sport is evolving in spectacular ways.
