2009 WORLD GAMES ARTISTIC SPORTS
Artistic skaters that participate at the 2008 Senior World Championships in Taipei City, Taiwan, 15-28 November 2008, will qualify for the 2009 World Games in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, from 20/24 July 2009
MENS FREE SKATING
8 skaters will qualify, and the selection will be made by CIPA. Only those placed in the top fifteen (15) will be considered
1. Skaters will skate a Short Programme of two minutes and fifteen seconds, plus or minus five seconds (2.15 +/- .5)
2. Skaters will skate a Long Programme of four minutes, plus or minus ten seconds (4 mins +/- 10)
LADIES FREESKATING
8 skaters will qualify, and the selection will be made by CIPA. Only those placed in the top fifteen (15) will be considered
1. Skaters will skate a Short Programme of two minutes and Fifteen seconds, plus or minus five seconds (2.15 +/- .5)
2. Skaters will skate a Long Programme of four minutes, plus or minus ten seconds (4 mins +/- 10)
PAIRS SKATING
Six (6) teams will qualify, and the selection will be made by CIPA. Only those placed in the top ten (10) will be considered.
1. Teams will skate a Short Programme of two minutes and forty - five seconds (2.45 +/- .5)
2. Skaters will skate a Long Programme of four minutes and thirty seconds, plus or minus ten seconds (4.30 +/- 10)
DANCE SKATING
Six teams will qualify, and the selection will be made by CIPA. Only those placed in the top ten (10) will be considered.
1. Teams will skate an Original Dance with a minimum of one
Minute and fifty seconds, (1.50) and a maximum time of two minutes and forty seconds (2.40). THE RHYTHM WILL BE SPANISH MEDLEY
2. Teams will skate a Free Dance programme of three minutes and thirty seconds plus or minus ten seconds (3.30 +/- .10)
IF THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF THE TOP FIFTEEN (15) IN THE FREE SKATING, AND TOP TEN (10) IN PAIRS AND DANCE OF THE SENIOR PARTICIPANTS IS NOT REACHED, THEN THE TOP PLACED FIVE (5) IN THE JUNIOR DISCIPLINES WILL BE CONSIDERED BY CIPA.
THE HOST COUNTRY IS ALLOWED ONE ENTRY PER DISCIPLINE.
IT WILL BE THE RESPONSBILITY OF THE FEDERATIONS FOR THE TRAVEL OF THEIR ATHLETES TO AND FROM THE WORLD GAMES.
THE WORLD GAMES ORGANISERS WILL PROVIDE HOUSING AND FOOD FOR THE PERIOD OF THE EVENT.
