The discipline of Figures will take the spotlight as the 3rd Annual World Figure Cup arrives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from September 26 to 28, 2025. For the first time in its history, the event will be staged in the Americas. Parque Olímpico de la Juventud will provide the setting.

Buenos Aires, Argentina’s vibrant capital, is known for its rich cultural heritage and passionate embrace of the arts and sports. The city offers a unique backdrop that blends tradition and modernity, making it a perfect host for an international event like the World Figure Cup.

This distinctive competition focuses on the discipline of Figures, where athletes are judged on their ability to create flawless tracings, edge quality, and turns with exacting accuracy and control. Over three days, skaters will contend for seven Figure Cup titles.

The 2025 edition will feature athletes from 11 different countries, bringing together an international field of top-level talent. Skaters are traveling from across the globe with some of the farthest journeys made by those arriving from Oceania. They will all converge in Argentina, united by their shared pursuit of mastery on the circles.

Senior Mens is sure to be an event to watch with 2024 Champion Federico Buracchi of Italy eyeing the top of the podium again. Figure master Felipe Werle of Brazil is looking to add to his massive collection of figure medals, a testament to years of dedication and success. Last year’s Junior Mens Gold medalist Andrea Zazzaroni of Italy and Silver medalist Sean Folstein of the USA will also be making their debut at the Senior level. Ilaria Beretti of Italy will be looking to defend her title in the Senior Ladies event, while in the Junior Ladies event, Sara Dinoi of Italy returns as the defending champion, aiming to secure back-to-back titles.

Figure training is rooted in discipline, with countless hours spent on the circles and chasing perfection in every edge and turn. The silence of the rink is broken only by the measured sound of wheels on the floor. There isn’t music, just a skater’s dialogue with the line.

By holding the World Figure Cup in Buenos Aires, the competition honors the tradition. This year’s Cup promises to be a showcase of dedication and discipline.

Competition kicks off Friday, September 26 with the Cadet Mens and Ladies events.
